BOTOX INJECTIONS

What is Botox used for?

Botulinum Toxin is used to treat wrinkles that have been worn into the skin by making the same expression thousands of times.  It works by blocking the nerve impulse to the muscle bundle.  The muscle relaxes and the overlying wrinkles gradually soften (and often disappear)

It is effective the for the treatment of the upper and lower third of the face including smokers lines and crepey necks

Is Botox safe?

YES.  Botox has been used safely and successfully in cosmetic medicine since 1987

How long does a Botox treatment last?

The effects usually last 3 - 4 months.  After several treatments the effects may last longer, up to 6 months or longer, depending on the individual

How quickly will I see the effects?

You will begin to notice the benefits after 2 - 3 days with the full effects being seen after 10 - 14 days

Is Botox right for me?

A full medical history will be taken during consultation where the benefits and contra-indications can be fully identified

DERMAL FILLERS

Safe, subtle and believable, the use of dermal fillers in experienced hands creates lift and reduces shadow.  Bio-degradable fillers produce an instantly freshened look and natural feel.  They restore flexibility and volume, preventing lines from deepening further.  Now, with the inclusion of antioxidants and moisturisers, they offer us in-built protection from sun pollution as well as stimulating skin renewal.  Dermal fillers used include Restylane, Sculptra and Juvederm.

COMBINATION THERAPIES

The complimentary use of botox combined with fillers give added advantages ensuring greater versatility.  If fillers plump, nourish and restore, botox, through its ability to relax hyperactive muscles, will simultaneously soften and lift out lines.  Through this unique action the life of the filler is extended.  These are truly preventative treatments and, using these advanced techniques, it is now within our reach to shape and control the extent and depth of our wrinkles!

 SCLEROTHERAPY

Thread veins of the legs are a common problem, particularly affecting women.   Small purple or red veins can form anywhere and while they do not pose any health problems, they may cause discomfort.

Many people who have thread veins find them unsightly and embarrassing and often attempt to cover them up or resort to cosmetic cover-ups, the result of which are usually disappointing.

Sclerotherapy is widely accepted as the medical treatment of choice enabling the practitiioner to access the superficial and deeper levels of damaged capillaries within each treatment session.  Overall, this gives a very successful and long lasting result.

Sclerotherapy is a non-invasive procedure in which a small amount of special solution is introduced to the capillary network.  The solution adheres to the walls of the thread veins.  This gradually causes the vessels to progressively shrink and fade over a period of 2 - 6 weeks.  Some capillaries will need several treatments to achieve optimum results, and this will be discussed with you at consultation.
